SAMCO’s innovative two-step oxygen removal process is a patent-pending method of removing oxygen from water down to extremely low levels. This method can be particularly useful in offshore platform enhanced oil recovery (EOR).
Our two-step oxygen removal process:
- Use specific membranes to get the oxygen down to levels < 1 ppm
- Follow with a catalytic reaction, further decreasing oxygen down to levels < 5 ppb
Advantages to using our two-step oxygen removal process:
- Useful in treating produced water so it can be recycled and reused for EOR injection
- Helps remove oxygen from seawater and/or produced water so it is pure enough to be used for washing and desalting the oil prior to sending onshore
