Laborer

Position Summary
Classification: Hourly,

Reports to: Production Supervisor
Location: Buffalo, NY

Summary:

In support of the Company’s primary and single most important objective which is TO GET AND KEEP PROFITABLE CUSTOMERS, this individual is primarily responsible to provide labor support to the production shop while achieving continuous safety, environmental, productivity, and quality standards.  Successes of the position are measured via the following key indicators:

  • Working safely and meeting all environmental standards of customer, OSHA, and employer
  • Producing high-quality support by meeting customer requirements as outlined in the job specifications
  • Meeting and/or exceeding job requirements
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized work area
  • Completing and submitting paperwork timely and accurately

Position Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all customer and company policies, work, and safety rules
  • Interact and provide support to Production, Sales, Project Management, and Engineering as required
  • Perform mechanical assembly tasks such as mounting equipment, instrumentation, and tank internals as required by the Production Supervisor.
  • Perform shipping and receiving tasks as required, such as loading/unloading trucks, receive parts and equipment including putting into stock, preparing skids, picking up parts, and completing associated paperwork
  • Perform painting as needed:  set-up and clean-up, surface preparation, degrease, and paint
  • Perform shop maintenance such as equipment repair and maintenance, shop and yard clean-up, and participate in health and safety follow-up meetings and inspections
  • Must have own hand tools & tool box
  • Exercise multi-tasking skills throughout the shift in an effort to achieve optimum shop efficiency rates
  • Communicate with coworkers as needed and supervisor(s) to receive instructions and coordinate activities
  • Be punctual and properly prepared to work
  • Follow other job-related instructions and perform other tasks as requested

Mechanical Designer

Summary:

In support of the Company’s primary and single most important objective which is TO GET AND KEEP PROFITABLE CUSTOMERS, this individual is responsible to prepare detail drawings supporting the company’s entire product line including machine parts, instruments, equipment, machinery, piping, electrical and systems from rough sketches, notes, and/or specifications from Sales, Operations, and/or Engineering.  Successes of the position are measured via the following key indicators:

  • Working safely and meeting all environmental standards of customer, OSHA and employer
  • Completing drawings accurately and timely
  • Communicating design problems to internal management effectively and timely to prevent additional project cost
  • Completing and submitting paperwork efficiently and accurately

Project Engineer – Process

Summary:

In support of the Company’s primary and single most important objective which is TO GET AND KEEP PROFITABLE CUSTOMERS, this individual is responsible for producing functioning water, wastewater, and process separation solutions as a part of a multidisciplinary project team.

  • The role of Project Engineer — Process in the team is to develop necessary process drawings, calculations, details, specifications, and other associated documents for communication with client and internal detailed design functions.
  • Project Engineer — Process will support factory testing, support or direct on-site startup and training activities, and provide on-going technical support for installed equipment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Development of detailed process flow diagrams with mass balance / stream table
  • P&ID drafting / development using AutoCAD P&ID
  • Specification / quotation / selection of process equipment/instruments/valves for procurement
  • Participate in control narrative development
  • Operation and maintenance manuals development

Shipping and Receiving Clerk

  • Expedite the shipment and receipt of all goods, parts, and supplies to meet the needs of the customer, vendor and the company.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and well organized work area
  • Completing and submitting paperwork efficiently and accurately

Position Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all customer, vendor, and company policies, work, and safety rules
  • Provide on-going support to project management, production, and engineering
  • Assist in the development of the inventory management and control systems
  • Coordinate international shipments and associated paperwork; coordinate shipments of all motor freight to and from inland vendors and customers
  • Receive all material into the shop warehouse. Inspect as required and inventory for stock or specific jobs.
  • Provide all shipping functions within the warehouse. Enter information into system and process paperwork
  • Pull material from inventory
  • Maintain inventory control, materials management and other related procurement and operational activities

  • Working safely and meeting all environmental standards of customer, OSHA, and employer
  • Producing a high-quality product by meeting customer requirements as outlined in the job specifications
  • Meeting and/or exceeding efficiency rates defined by job specifications
  • Inspecting and trouble-shooting all product and equipment to ensure non-conformances are identified and communicated appropriately throughout the process
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized work area
  • Completing and submitting paperwork timely and accurately

Position Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all customer and company policies, work, and safety rules
  • Perform welding of fused pipe (HDPE), glued pipe (PVC, CPVC), and/or threaded pipe
  • Interpret P&ID, flow schematics, skid fabrication drawings, and other documents in accordance with standards, quality, materials management, and installation guidelines
  • Interact and provide support to Sales, Project Management, Engineering, and Production as required
  • Perform mechanical assembly tasks such as mounting equipment, instrumentation, and tank internals
  • Perform fabrication/welding tasks such as using a torch, cutting, track burner, band saw, and miscellaneous lathe, drill press, and mill work equipment
  • Perform shipping and receiving tasks as required, such as loading/unloading trucks, receive parts and equipment including putting into stock, preparing skids, picking up parts, and completing associated paperwork
  • Perform painting as needed:  set-up and clean-up, surface preparation, degrease, and paint

  • Perform confined space entry; must be able to wear a respirator
